Mortgages & rent

Common questions

Can I track my own home as well as investments?

Yes. Homes and investment properties are tracked separately: investments carry yield and cash flow, your home carries equity and loan progress. Both roll into the household position.

How are mortgages handled?

Each property links its secured loans with balance, interest rate and repayments. The portfolio view shows total debt, equity and an estimated loan-free date per property.

Does it track expenses for tax?

Expenses are categorised (council rates, insurance, repairs and more), split between operating and capital, and support document attachments, with expected-versus-paid comparisons per financial year.

Can I model selling a property?

Yes. A sale scenario estimates proceeds after agent costs and taxes, and projections support dated property purchase and sale events so you can see the long-range effect first.
